Nano-essence research stage one SymbioticA

Posted in Nano-essence on January 13th, 2008

The new sterile substrates were taken to SymbioticA to be sterilised. The substrates were large enough to be completely sealed by the rubber ring that makes the sample watertight for the Atomic Force Microscope.
.
Two glass substrates are being autoclaving to prepare them for the cells by which them. They need to be then coated with extra cellular matrix so the cells can adhere to the substrates.

The new skin cell line are called HaCat

Preparing for HaCat cells to be culture on them for scanning by an Atomic Force Microscope.
